The United Nations designated 2026 as the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists (IYRP). To celebrate this significant year, the Royal Australian Mint presents a $1 uncirculated coin honouring Australia's vast rangelands and the pastoralists who manage them.

Rangelands cover around 75% of Australia's landmass, spanning woodlands, grasslands, shrublands, deserts and tropical savannahs. The coin reverse features a design by Mint coin designer Adam Ball representing Australian rangelands and pastoralism.

The presentation card includes original linocut artwork created for this coin program by Mint designer Elyssa Waterford.
