The ELEGOO Neptune 4 is one of the best for anyone after a fast, no-fuss FDM printer — and it's great if you're just getting started or looking to upgrade.
It prints up to 500mm/s on its Klipper-powered mainboard, levels its own bed across 121 points so you can skip the fiddly calibration, and its 300°C dual-gear direct extruder handles PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU and Nylon. Includes a removable touchscreen, six cooling fans and a dual-sided PEI/PLA build plate, and it's an easy printer to recommend.

The Neptune 4 comes with Klipper firmware pre-installed on a 64-bit quad-core mainboard, so it's ready to print fast straight out of the box — up to 500mm/s flat out, with 250mm/s recommended for the best surface finish. No manual flashing, no fiddly setup — we've found it's one of the easiest fast printers to get going.

Do I need to level the bed myself?
No — it auto-levels across 121 points (an 11×11 grid) before every print.
How fast does it actually print?
Up to 500mm/s flat out. We'd suggest around 250mm/s as the sweet spot for print quality.
What happens if it loses power or runs out of filament mid-print?
The Neptune 4 supports resume-printing and filament run-out detection, so an interrupted print isn't a wasted one.
Can the firmware be updated?
Yes, it supports OTA (over-the-air) firmware updates.
