Coffee brown is an unusual choice on a writing instrument and a rather good one - warmer than black, more grown-up than a bright colour, and set off here by a brushed chrome cap and chrome trim. It has the look of something from a decade or two ago, in the best sense.
The Sentinel itself is slim and light with a simple click-top mechanism, and takes Sheaffer's K-style ballpoint refill so keeping it going is straightforward. The name has been in the Sheaffer range since the 1940s.
