Issue 58 – 1972 Ford F-100 Utility.

This model joins a high-quality series of 1:43 scale Australian cars. Assembled locally at Ford's Broadmeadows plant, the F-100 was a proper truck rather than a car-based ute, riding on Ford's twin I-beam front suspension and sold on the promise that it would drive like a car and work like a truck. Power came from a 250 cubic inch six or an optional 302 V8, and state ambulance services around the country used it as the basis for custom-built ambulances.

For the collector, this piece captures the broad chrome grille, long tray and big American stance of the F-100, and arrives with a magazine drawn from the Wheels archive.
