Sheaffer Emily In Paris Prelude Mini

The Prelude Mini is the compact sibling of Sheaffer's long-running Prelude, shortened for a handbag or a coat pocket without losing the brass body that gives the full-size pen its balance. For the Emily in Paris collaboration it wears a soft pastel pink lacquer with rose gold PVD trims - a warmer, pinker gold than the champagne used on the 100 pens in the same collection.

Two details lift it beyond a colourway. A die-cast metal heart-shaped emblem is set into the clip, and the cap is topped with a genuine Swarovski crystal, faceted properly rather than moulded. Both are the sort of thing that only reads as expensive if it is actually done well, and here it is.
