Description
The Icon collection was drawn as a deliberate bridge between Sheaffer's archive and the desk of a working professional today. The proportions are generous rather than slim, and the weight has been balanced for the long haul - an hour of notes, not a signature and back in the drawer.
This one pairs a deep matt black lacquer barrel with gloss black PVD trim and a single stroke of red, a restrained piece of contrast that really only reads up close. The wraparound clip is a direct nod to Sheaffer's vintage designs, and the whole pen has a softness to the hand that the matt lacquer is largely responsible for. It is a heavier, more deliberate object than the 100, and priced accordingly.
