The Reminder revives one of Sheaffer's cleverest pieces of engineering: the clickable clip, first introduced in the 1960s. Press the bottom of the clip and the tip advances; press the top and it retracts and locks. The mechanism is designed so the clip physically cannot grip a pocket, a lapel or a sheet of paper while the tip is exposed - a small idea, elegantly executed, that has saved a great many shirts.

The slim silhouette is finished in matt black lacquer with polished black PVD trim, giving an almost entirely monochrome pen with the White Dot as its only relief. It is a quieter, more considered object than most pens at this price, and it rewards being carried rather than stored.
